This course is designed for students intending to go to a two-year or four-year college. Emphasis will be on the molecular basis of biological interactions. Areas of concentration will be: cellular structure and function, bioenergetics, ecological systems, genetics, evolution, and diversity of organisms. Students will use scientific methods to conduct laboratory investigations and will understand science as a process and way of knowing. In addition, students will learn the biological knowledge important for being an informed and contributing citizen in today's society.
