Cultural Studies

This course focuses on traditional and contemporary cultures of East Asia, especially those of Greater China, Taiwan, Japan and Korea.  The cultural investigation of Asia is infused with the historical, geographical, economical and religious study of this region.  This course also explores the similarities and differences among the cultures of China, Japan and Korea and compare them with European and American societies.  This course was designed to teach you about East Asian culture today.  You’ll learn about the lifestyles of modern East Asian people, the philosophies that guide their lives, and get an in-depth glimpse into Asian culture.
