Food Science II

Practical Art Elective.

This course is designed for those students who want to learn advanced food preparation and scientific concepts related to food and nutrition. This will include the study of food preparation from a variety of cultures. It provides students the opportunity to expand food preparation skills with new foods and more complex preparations and scientific skills. Emphasis will include scientific procedures and methods, nutritional concepts, presentation and garnishes, and specialty dishes from around the world. Students will discover principles of culinary arts, food related careers and much more.
