Spanish 4

Spanish 4 will continue an in-depth study of complex grammar points encountered in the first three years of language study including the preterite, imperfect, present subjunctive, and perfect tenses.  The past subjunctive will also be used in Spanish 4.  Literature, film, and other relevant media sources will be used to aide the curriculum.   Performance in the areas of writing, speaking, listening, and reading comprehension will determine class activity and assessment grades.  Class activities will include oral presentation, dialogues with partners or teacher, grammar instruction, vocabulary acquisition, and computer-based activities.  Students will participate mostly in Spanish in classroom activities.  Computer based homework activities are expected to be completed before every class. Note: All world language offerings are year-long courses and they are to be done in the same academic year.  If a student has not earned a 70% or higher, we strongly recommend the student retake the previous semester.
