It has been our intention to return to some form of in-person learning as soon as it was determined by our health departments that it is both safer and feasible to do so. On September 21, during our virtual town hall with county health department officials, we reviewed the current coronavirus data for our community. To this end, our county health agency partners have made the recommendation that it is now appropriate for us to return to a hybrid learning model. Beginning Monday, October 5, we will be implementing a hybrid in-person learning schedule for all students who are not currently enrolled in the LaunchED program. LaunchED student’s schedules will not be impacted by this change.

Mr. Stecina is the Dean of Students at Erie High School. He helps students who are having trouble in classes or dealing with their teachers or parents. He finds solutions that work for all of the stakeholders so that students may more easily mature into adults before leaving high school. Mr. Stecina also manages Erie High School's data, keeping tabs on students' assessment data and helping teachers inform their instruction based on what the students' data show. Paul Stecina also is a main source of communication for Erie High serving as the webmaster for the school's website and managing the official EHS social media sites. He also sends the messages home about important upcoming events. Mr. Stecina is also in charge of student, parent and staff members' accounts in Infinite Campus and the SVVSD Google Suite of apps.
Paul Stecina is the father of two awesome students in the Erie High Feeder system and the happy husband of an Erie Middle School teacher. Though he lives in Frederick, his heart is at EHS through and through. Mr. Stecina has been at EHS since he began working in Education in 1998. First he was a Math and Science teacher at the grades 7 - 12 Erie Middle/Senior High. Then he became the Technology teacher. In 2010, Mr. Stecina began working as an Administrator at EHS and has been there ever since.
When asked about his work at EHS, Paul Stecina says this, "I love Erie High and every kid who walks its halls. They are like my own children to me in that I want to help each of them reach their highest potential and each is unique in the gifts they bring to our school. I have the perfect job and wake up every morning excited to work with your children! It truly is a blessing that you share them with us!"
