Research shows that students who attend their classes with good punctuality have higher grades than those who don't. It really just makes sense!
So when Erie High announced that the grade with the highest attendance rate over a set period would receive donuts for the whole class, our Tigers showed what they were made of.
The Sophomore class eeked out a victory over the Freshmen by hundreths of a percentile so the Erie High School administration showed their gratitude with free donuts for each of the class' 300+ students.
The State of Colorado has picked October 5th as the official day that public schools in Colorado count all students in their classrooms to determine funding for each school.
Coincidentally, this date falls on one of our scheduled Late Start Days. To remedy this, the St Vrain Valley School District has decided to hold regular scheduled classes on that day, Wednesday, October 5th.
Classes will be held that day on a normal Day 1 schedule.
