PLC/Late Start Days

The St. Vrain Valley School District has PLC/Late Start Days once per month throughout the school year (except for January).  These days allow teachers to meet in Professional Learning Communities to increase the academic rigor at Erie High School and improve teachers' Tier I Best Teaching Practices.  These meetings take place from 7:30 - 9:55am.

On these days, classes do not begin until 10:00 am and follow a modified schedule for the rest of the day.  The schedule is as follows:

Volunteers Needed for September 6th Late Start Day

The September Late Start will provide an opportunity for Erie High School students to take a practice exam for their required State Assessments. We need your help...

March 1st PLC/Late Start Day

When students arrive for Late Start we will be doing something a little different.

No PLC/Late Start Day in October

The State of Colorado has picked October 5th as the official day that public schools in Colorado count all students in their classrooms to determine funding for each school.

Coincidentally, this date falls on one of our scheduled Late Start Days.  To remedy this, the St Vrain Valley School District has decided to hold regular scheduled classes on that day, Wednesday, October 5th.

Classes will be held that day on a normal Day 1 schedule.

Update From Mr. Buchler

Dear Students and Their Parents:

First of all, please remember that Wednesday, September 2nd is a PLC/Late Start Day.  Buses will run 2 1/2 hours later than their usual time so that teachers may meet in Professional Learning Communities.

Secondly, because of recent enrollment increases due to growth in our area, Erie High School is adding some additional class sections to our schedule to reduce class sizes.
