2018 Standardized Testing Begins

Students have been preparing all year for these tests which can have a huge effect on where they continue to educate themselves after high school and how much they pay.  While testing is occurring no other classes will be taking place.  Students will be able to ride their bus to school, though, because they will be making a second run in the morning to pick up non-testers.

Juniors will take the SAT on Tuesday, April 10th at the beginning of the day.  Buses will then run at the usual time and then again approximately 4 1/2 hours later to bring 9th, 10th and 12th graders to school with the following schedule:

7:30 - 11:30 SAT Test - JUNIORS (Freshmen, Sophomores, & Seniors will report to school at 12:15 p.m.)

 

11:30 - 12:15 Lunch

12:15 - 12:45 Block 1

12:50 - 1:20 Block 2

1:25 - 1:55 Block 3

2:00 - 2:30 Block 4

 
Freshmen and Sophomores will take the PSAT on Wednesday, April 11th at the beginning of the day.  Buses will run Buses will then run at the usual time and then again approximately 4 hours later to bring 11th and 12th graders to school with the following schedule.
 

7:30 - 10:55 PSAT - FRESHMEN & SOPHOMORES (Juniors & Seniors will report to school at 11:35 a.m.)

10:55 - 11:35 Lunch

11:35 - 12:15 Block 5

12:20 - 1:00 Block 6

1:05 - 1:45 Block 7

1:50 - 2:30 Block 8

 

Students should bring to the test:

  • A snack and a water bottle for the morning of testing. 
  • Approved Calculator - GUIDELINES HERE
  • Identification (School or State)


Student should NOT bring to the test:

  • Open containers (coffee, soda cans, etc.) 
  • Cell phone, iPad, Computer, or any other electronic device
  • Smart Watch


Parent reminders:

  • Please avoid scheduling any appointments during the morning of your student’s testing date.
