EHS Update,  9/18/2015

Dear Students and Parents,

This is an update of what's happening around Erie High School for the community and all of the Erie High School family:

Football Season Home Opener Tonight!: The first home game of the season takes place tonight.  Spirit wear will be available for purchase with cash or check.  Come root for the Tigers!

Regarding Student Fees: If you find a fee for a class your child is not enrolled, please disregard it and do not pay it.  We will be removing those shortly.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Odyssey of the Mind Information: Odyssey of the Mind is an organization which taps into students' creativity and problem solving skills.  EHS OM teams have perennially competed in the World Championships abroad each year!

Monthly Newsletter Available: Here's another great way to get information about the great things at Erie High School.

Christmas Carol Auditions: If you would like to audition for a role in the Winter Theatre Production this year, this is where you may get more information.

F Messages: EHS' Dean of Students, Paul Stecina, will begin sending home messages on Thursdays about students who currently have one or more Fs in class.  The intention is for parents to talk to their children about what will be required to get those grades improved and to spend time over the weekend addressing work that needs to be completed.  If you have any concerns, please contact Mr. Stecina.

College Fair, September 23rd: Erie High will host a joint College Fair with Frederick High in the EHS Main Gym for Juniors and Seniors to attend.  Learn about your college opportunities at this excellent event.

The Erie Library Offers Test Prep Help: You can take classes (even online classes) to help you be prepared for college entrance exams through the High Plains Library District.

Homework Club: Freshmen who have an F will be required to attend Homework Club on Thursdays after school from 2:30 - 4:30pm beginning on September 24th.  It will be the students' responsibility to make sure they have a ride home from Homework Club.

Driver Education Classes Starting Up at EHS: Classes sessions are available in the Winter and Spring this year.  Check the schedule on this link for more information.

Parent/Teacher Conferences, September 30th: Conferences will be held from 3:45 - 6:45pm.  This is a great time to discuss your child's performance so far this year with their teachers.
