Despite the whirlwind effects of COVID (remote learning last spring, this fall and hybrid learning this year) Erie High School's juniors showed improvement over last year on the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT). This test is a variety of the PSAT from College Board and is used to select recipients of the National Merit Scholarship which provides free tuition, fees and books to students attending university in Colorado. Typically, schools only test their best and brightest for this honor but in St Vrain Valley Schools, EVERY junior takes the test. See

As you may know, through community support in passing the 2016 bond measure, St. Vrain is constructing a new elementary school to ensure continued high-quality learning environments that can accommodate the large growth in our region.
St. Vrain Valley School students and staff are invited to celebrate Computer Science Education Week (CSED Week) through a series of engagement opportunities available online including robot programming, code writing, and live virtual sessions with industry partners highlighting different career pathways.
Parents and students should have seen communication from their teachers this week letting students know the best path to improving their grades. We realize these are tough times for some families and with the changes in learning environments this year, some students have had a difficult time keeping up with academics.
Teachers, in work with their departments, determined some solutions for students who are willing to do a little more to improve their grades.
