- Student Enrollment
Many people don't know that the single greatest source of scholarship dollars for Erie High School students, alumni and teachers is the Erie High School Education Foundation. This organization works hard to benefit the students who are graduating as well as those who have graduated in the past from EHS. They also provide scholarship opportunities for EHS faculty members who are pursuing more education.
The Education Foundation raises money through several local corporate donors, but one fundraising opportunity is the most fun: the FACE concert at Erie High School!
FACE is an all vocal (a capella) band that performs around the country and world bringing their own spin to popular favorites as well as their own original material. A few of the members of the band live locally and love to support the schools in the area. In the past, the concert has sold out allowing attendees a full house of people enjoying great music and benefiting a very worthy cause.
This year's concert will feature a short performance from EHS' own Jazz Choir, 5130. This is only the second year of this choir's existence but they are thriving. The students in this audition choir are some of the best singers in the school and perform complex jazz arrangements of popular music. They performed before the Winter Choir Concert at the silent auction and the audience was WOWed!
After 5130's performance, FACE will perform a full concert of their fan's favorites known for exciting and even including the audience.
Tickets are being sold on the internet and allow assigned seats so there is no need to arrive so early to try to get the best seats in the house. Just purchase your tickets and pick the seats that suit your preference. Tickets are $15, or $25 for VIP seats which include a meet and greet with the band! This is a great chance to get a selfie and ask a question of the band without having to wade through the crowd after a performance.
Tickets have sold well in the first few days of sales, so don't delay! Get yours now and mark your calendar for Friday, March 2nd as the most fun night of 2018 so far!
