Lynx National Arts & Media Camp

The University of Colorado at Denver College of Arts and Media is offering students to apply to attend Lynx Camp for music and entertainment industry studies, film and video production and visual arts.

The LYNX National Arts and Media Camps are summer immersion programs for high school students interested in music and the arts hosted on the University of Colorado Denver campus and sponsored by the CU Denver College of Arts & Media. We offer both residential and non-residential camp programs. The camps are designed to provide students with an educational preview of the college programs offered in the College of Arts & Media while also providing students with an inspiring and memorable summer camp experience. We host high school students from throughout the country, and even international students, at the camp which enables a diverse and enriching experience as students bond over a shared passion for the arts.

Applicants who apply by this date receive priority for admissions and scholarships. Last year, 99% of need-based scholarship applicants who applied by the priority deadline received a scholarship!

We are excited to offer three sessions of LYNX Camp programs! Sessions One and Two will feature two-week immersion programs featuring hands-on learning from recognized CU Denver faculty members and renowned guest artists. These sessions will be open to residential and commuter students.

Session Three is a new LYNX Camp format for 2017. This session will feature one-week programs that are five days long. This session won't offer a residential component and will only be open to commuter students. Students who live outside of the Denver area will need to make arrangements to stay with a family or friend in the area or have the family visit Denver and stay in hotel during the camp.

In all sessions, the LYNX Camp class size is small to ensure individualized instruction.

We've been busy planning some exciting camp programs. We're really excited about the faculty instructors that we have onboard to teach this year. We are also in the process of putting together our best guest artist lineup that we've ever had at the camps, which is saying a lot because last summer's lineup was pretty impressive! We will be announcing most of our guest artists in March, so be sure to like us on Facebook to get the announcements! Make sure they complete their application by our March 31st priority deadline. Students who apply by this date receive priority for scholarships and admissions. We do anticipate that some programs will fill to capacity again this year so we encourage you to apply early.
