Practical Art Elective.

This course introduces students to a behind-the-scenes look at internet development and discusses such topics as the history of the internet, basic hypertext markup language (HTML) and cascading style sheets (CSS) programming, structural and design element analysis, whole site planning and design, cost analysis for hosting solutions, file transfer protocol, site maintenance and redevelopment, graphics web optimization, statistical analysis of the audience, and other fascinating topics associated with becoming a self-sufficient webmaster. Students will program web pages from scratch as well as by using software that is designed to produce professional quality web sites.
