Originally from Colorado, Chris served four years in the United States Marine Corps and did three deployments to Iraq. He attended CSU for his undergrad and Norwich University for his graduate degree in history. 
When he is not teaching, you can find him with his wife and three kids doing eco-tourism or seeing historic sites. His interests include all things outdoors, soccer, veteran’s advocacy, and motorcycling.
