Fridays Explained

Fridays are a unique opportunity at Erie High School for students to connect with their teachers in asynchronous meetings designed to keep students engaged and help students who need additional assistance.

The schedule on Fridays is as follows:

7:45-8:50 Scheduled appointments, individualized assistance, staff/dept meetings

8:55 – 9:30 Block 1

9:35 – 10:10 Block 2

10:15 – 10:50 Block 3

10:55 – 11:30 Block 4

11:35 – 12:05 Lunch

12:10 – 12:45 Block 5

12:50 – 1:25 Block 6

1:30 – 2:05 Block 7

2:10 – 2:45 Block 8

Teachers will assign work at the beginning of each block for students to complete during that class period. This is to provide students structure and accountability on Fridays while extending learning and reflection opportunities. This assignment completion is also important as it will serve as accountability for attendance in Friday’s classes.

Teachers will be available during their class times in the WebEx rooms to help students who need additional help or clarification. Teachers may use this time to schedule individual check-ins with students who need additional support completing that week’s learning goals.
