Homecoming Week 2018

Each year, EHS pulls out all of the stops to celebrate Homecoming.  Alumni come from around the country to honor their school by attending the big Homecoming football game.  There are many other exciting features of the week, some of which follow.  Check back often if you have questions as updates will be added as details develop...

Fall Sports Kickoff Bash

Homecoming Dodgeball Tournament

  • Find out which teams can "dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge" the best in this traditional tournament open to teams who get registered.  The competition starts at 5:30pm in the Main Gym.

Spirit Day Preview Assembly

  • On Friday, September 14th, students will find out the Spirit Days for the following week in the Main Gym.  Each day has a different theme.  Show your school spirit by dressing up.  Student Government will host this assembly at 1:50pm (Assembly Schedule #1) to show you how to dress during Spirit Week!

Homecoming Spirit Days

Pep Rally

  • StuGo is planning a fun assembly in the Main Gym on Friday, September 21st at 1:50pm (Assembly Schedule #1), filled with fun games, activities and an introduction of teams and activities active during Homecoming Week to get everyone excited about the Homecoming Parade and football game that evening and the dance the following evening.

Parade

  • Every year the Erie Optimist Club is proud to present the Erie Homecoming Parade.  Come out and show your support for our Erie Tigers!  The theme this year for floats in the parade is “SUPERHERO”. So start working on your Superhero themed float and come out and show your school spirit on September 21, 2018.  No Registration is required. Please pass out candy responsibly.  Parade Floats/Participants line up at 4:30 pm at Erie Middle School on Main Street.  Participants, please park at Erie Elementary School.  The parade begins at 5:15 pm.  Head up to the Erie High School after the parade to watch the Erie Tigers take on the Cañon City Tigers.

Football Game

  • Erie vs Cañon City!  This highly attended event annually attracts alumni from around the region.  Plan to carpool as parking is at a premium.  Golf carts, as always, will be available for those who need them for the trek to Tiger Stadium.  Parking is allowed off of County Road 5 and Erie Parkway but please park responsibly and safely off the road.  Additional parking will be adverised in an update here at a later date.  Avoid long entrance lines by pre-purchasing tickets online (a link will be posted at a later date) and go straight to the gate for entry.  Erie's Tutti Choir program (over 200 strong!) will perform a breath-taking rendition of The National Anthem to begin the game.

Dance

  • The Homecoming Dance will be held in the Main Gym at Erie High School on Saturday, September 22nd from 8 - 11pm.  All Erie High School students are welcome to attend.  Tickets ($20) may be purchased online as well at at school before and after school as well as at lunch.  All attendees must fill out a behavior agreement and all guests must be approved by the EHS administration using the dance guest form which must be turned in no later than Thursday, September 20th.  Anyone without the proper forms on file will not be able to enjoy the dance so get your paperwork in early!  Additional information may be found here.

We look forward to an exciting, safe and fun Homecoming 2018!
