EHS is the only school in the district represented at All State Jazz. All-State Jazz is one of the most difficult auditions students can take on because of the low number of spots available in the choir. Our All State Jazz kids are one of SIX selected in the entire state for their voicepart. Erie High School senior singer Mikaela Schindler had the highest audition score (99/100) in the State of Colorado out of the 570 Sopranos who auditioned for Classical All State. EHS seniors Ashley Ross and Mikaela Schindler got perfect scores on their solo. Erie High senior Mora Walker got 100% on sight-reading which is the most difficult part of the audition. The singers’ success in these All-State auditions is testimony to the outstanding performing arts culture of Erie High School and the excellent Choir program that director Janay Bird has built. Our students take achievement to the next level in the classroom AND on the stage! Congratulations, singers on your excellent accomplishments! We are so very proud of you all and can’t wait to hear you perform with Colorado’s best singers!
