EHS Library

The EHS Library is a place for all EHS students to access resources, foster personal wellness, develop community, and spark curiosity and creativity.

WE ARE OPEN: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

READ: We have a wonderful, ever-growing collection of books here at EHS, and access to Inter-Library Loans from all schools in our district. Additionally, SVVSD offers one of the largest digital libraries of any public school district in the U.S. with thousands of eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines available for checkout. We love to help students find their next favorite book, so come by anytime and share what you’re interested in– we’ll help match your interests with a great book!

BOOK CLUBS: We have two student book clubs that meet during A Days on Thursdays or Fridays during both lunches. See Dr. Kaplan if you are interested in joining the book club!

RESEARCH: We offer individual and whole-class research support. We have access to several research databases, including JSTOR and Gale.

ENGAGE: We have many activities in the library every day that are open for students to engage their brains, build community, and energize their curiosity and creativity. Come to the library to work on the community puzzle, add to the community coloring piece, answer the daily trivia question, vote for the would you rather poll, play chess, add to the stick-it poster, or play a board game. The library is a great place to spend time before or after school, during lunch, or during an off block.

COMMUNITY: It takes a whole community to bring amazing library services to our students. We are grateful to all of our parent volunteers, High Plains Public Library, ErieUplink, and Briggs Street Books for supporting the Erie High School Library! We accept donations of books in good condition all year long for our annual Free Book Fair. Contact Becca Kaplan if you are interested in volunteering or donating to the library.
