Dear Erie High Families,
Thank you for your continued patience and support as we navigate the road construction around our schools. We are writing to share updated information we received from the Town of Erie regarding new construction that is scheduled to begin next week.
Beginning September 30, construction will begin on County Road 5 and County Road 10. Construction will proceed south on County Road 5 to the north entrance of Soaring Heights PK-8. During this time, County Road 5 will be only one lane through the construction zone, which may cause delays during school drop-off and pick-up times for families along this route. We will continue with the drop-off and pick-up procedures presently in place at Erie High School. These procedures will be re-evaluated in the spring when additional work will resume to turn County Road 5 into a four-lane road with proper turn lanes. These future changes will greatly assist the community and schools during drop-off and pick-up times.
Our school and district operations team will continue to work closely with the Town of Erie and IHC Scott (the project contractor), and want to thank them for their continued partnership and support. We will continue to keep you updated as we learn more information, and you can also visit the Town of Erie website for construction updates.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly.
Thank you,
Matt Buchler
Principal
