Thank you for being a part of the Erie High community and for your continued partnership as we manage the significant growth in our community. Growth in student enrollment has many positive benefits for our students, including additional resources to increase opportunities for our students to engage in rigorous and engaging coursework and other student experiences. To increase capacity within our facilities to best accommodate growth, we are working closely with the district’s operations team to identify opportunities for facility enhancements. One area of priority is to increase the availability of parking spaces available for our students.
Over the summer, we will be adding a substantial number of parking spaces to our campus, resurfacing and redesigning our current lot, and potentially adding additional learning spaces. We will continue to share information about these exciting facility enhancements as we get closer to the end of the school year.
As we prepare for a strong finish to this school year, we want to reiterate several important parking lot protocols to ensure the safety of all community members.
- Whenever possible, we encourage students and parents to make alternative transportation arrangements that do not require parking on school grounds.
- To accommodate a larger drop-off window, the building will be open at 6:45 a.m. daily and breakfast will be available for students.
- All cars will be required to park in an official parking space, and students can not park in handicapped parking spaces without a proper handicap permit. Students also cannot park in the visitor parking spaces. Cars in violation of these rules will be ticketed.
Again, thank you for being such an important part of Erie High School. We appreciate your patience and support as we continue to meet the needs of our growing community. If you have any questions, please contact the front office at 303-828-4213.
