Hello.
Please read this message in its entirety for important information regarding the upcoming SAT all 11th-grade students will take on April 12, and the PSAT 9 and PSAT 10 all 9th-grade and 10th-grade students will take on April 13.

April 12: SAT
All 11th-grade students will take the SAT on this day. All 9th, 10th, and 12th-grade students will have an asynchronous day of learning and should not be in the building.

April 13: PSAT 8/9 and PSAT 10
All 9th and 10th-grade students will take the PSAT on this day. All 11th and 12th-grade students will have an asynchronous day of learning and should not be in the building.

What should students bring with them on their testing day?

• 2 sharpened #2 pencils
• Approved calculator
• Water bottle and snack (optional)

Please note that students may NOT have technology with them on the day of testing such as a cell phone, smartwatch, iPad, etc. It is recommended that students do not bring these items with them to the testing room. If a student brings one of these items with them they will be required to completely turn the device off, not just silence, and store the item(s) in a separate location from their area of testing. If a student is found to have any of these items on them during testing, including during scheduled breaks, they will be dismissed immediately and will not be allowed to complete the test. Additionally, they may put their entire testing group at risk of invalidating all testing scores. We would like to emphasize the importance of every student following these rules and appreciate your support in speaking with your student about this.

What time should students arrive for the test?
Students should arrive at school no later than 7:45 am to report to their testing room. Once the test instructions have begun students will not be allowed to enter a testing room. Please help ensure your student arrives on time. On the morning of the test, it is recommended to eat a good breakfast and arrive early enough that they do not feel rushed getting to their testing location.

How will students know what testing location to report to?
Students’ testing locations will be communicated through Schoology during the week of April 3rd. This information will be posted no later than April 6th. Students receiving an accommodation will be personally notified of what accommodation(s) they will be receiving and what room they will be reporting to.

What time will students be finished with their test?
The SAT will take approximately 4 hours to complete.
The PSAT 8/9 will take approximately 3 hours to complete.
The PSAT 10 will take approximately 3 ½ hours to complete.

The times mentioned above are for students taking the test without any accommodations. Those students receiving accommodations may be receiving extended time to complete the test that could extend the test another 1 ½ hours, approximately (give or take).

Will bus transportation be available?
Yes, students that normally ride the bus will still be able to do so on the day of testing. Morning pick-up times will remain the same. The buses will run twice in the afternoon at 12:30 pm and 2:45 pm.

Will lunch be served on testing days?
Lunch will be available for students as a brown bag lunch option.
