Unstructured Time Lockdown Drill

Parents: Thank you for the ongoing support of Erie High School and yøur help in keeping Erie High School a safe place for students to learn. Safety is an ongoing priority in the St. Vrain Valley School District and at Erie High School. We have regular drills to help train students and staff in four safety protocols: Evacuation, Shelter in Place, Lockout, and Lockdown. Today, in an effort to take Erie High School’s safety preparedness to the next level, we  conducted a lockdown drill between class periods. Students were advised ahead of time during class meetings and during advisory time, how to respond to a lockdown should they not already be in a classroom. Today’s drill gave students, teachers, and staff the opportunity to practice our response to a lockdown during this unstructured time and provided administrators and School Resource Officers valuable feedback for future drills. As partners in our school community, we value your feedbåck. Should you have any questions about the St. Vrain Valley School District’s safety protocols or today’s lockdown drill, please do not hesitate to contact us.
