Virtual Private Networks (VPN) can be very handy in saving the privacy of your connection when logging into a hotel or airport public network, but they will cause you problems on your school iPad.

All SVVSD iPads have a mechanism which detecs when a VPN is installed and dismantles the iPad so it is unusable.  That could cause serious problems for students who are trying to get work done.  If you download a VPN you have to contact the school to have it temporarily unlocked so you can delete the VPN.  This all means time you are unable to use the iPad and time that school staff has to spend working with each student individually to re-enable the iPad. 

Please do not install a VPN on your school iPad.
