EHS sent 12 students to the Adams State virtual MUN conference (SoCoMUN) last weekend, and two of our students won “Honorable Mention” at their very first conference. (There are three awards per council: Best Delegate, Outstanding Delegate, and Honorable Mention.) Miranda Wood, representing Bulgaria, and Alex Edgecomb, representing Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, debated cyberterrorism and water scarcity in the General Assembly. With alliances they developed with other countries during the conference, and through debate and discussion, Miranda and Alex were able to contribute as co-authors to a resolution for water scarcity and sponsor the resolution for cyberterrorism. The leadership team of Mia Weber, Chrisitan Brooks, Oliver Ramirez, Natalie Woodland, and Haily Davis did a great job of preparing these first-timers for the conference!
