Fall Testing Day, October 13th

On October 13th, All 9th and 10th-grade students will be taking a practice PSAT, and all 11th-grade students will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT. Students should arrive at school at the normal start time of 7:45 a.m. Pre-administration is from 7:45 to 8:00 a.m. Once testing begins, students will not be admitted to the test. Please help ensure your student arrives on time. Students will complete their tests between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Students with an extended time accommodation will complete the test at approximately 1:00 pm – 1:30 pm. Students will be released for the day once their testing group has completed the test. Please note that testing is only scheduled for October 13. There will not be any make-up days for this fall testing. 

We know many students that typically take the bus home will arrange alternative transportation on this day. In order to appropriately plan for needed transportation for the afternoon please complete the following form by Tuesday, October 12, if your student WILL need bus transportation on the AFTERNOON of October 13. (Note: Bus transportation for October 13 will be for students already approved and registered for bus transportation only.) Bus transportation request form for Oct. 13

On the day of testing students should bring the following materials.

9th and 10th-grade students taking the PSAT:

  • Charged iPad
  • 2 sharpened pencils
  • Approved calculator
  • Mask (Please help ensure your student brings a mask with them as we may not have masks available for students that morning. Students without a mask may not test with the exception of students with an approved mask exemption.) 
  • Water bottle and snack (optional)

11th-grade students taking the NMSQT:

  • 2 sharpened #2 pencils 
  • Approved calculator
  • Mask (Please help ensure your student brings a mask with them as we may not have masks available for students that morning. Students without a mask may not test with the exception of students with an approved mask exemption.) 
  • Water bottle and snack (optional)
  • Photo identification (This can be a school id, or state id) Students without an id will be verified through Infinite Campus. 

Please note: Seniors will not attend school on October 13. All students are encouraged to use the extra time off that day to catch up on missing assignments.
