ThesCon 2021 was a HUGE success! 23 EHS Theatre students participated in the three day thespian conference this year.

Eight students competed with their Individual Events (IEs) and were adjudicated by college professors and theatre professionals.  All eight students scored in the highest two categories in the ranking system – excellent and superior (highest rating)

Molly Ellsworth – Musical Theatre Solo – Excellent
Ella Valania – Musical Theatre Solo – Excellent
Claire Huber – Musical Theatre Solo – Superior
Cayley Meyers – Musical Theatre Solo – Superior
Angie Torres – Musical Theatre Solo – Superior
Evan McKercher – Original 5 Minute Movie – Superior
Talia Kumar – Stage Tech Set Design – Superior
Madelyn Brown – State Tech Marketing Design – Superior

875 students (out of 3500 in attendance) competed this year in the Individual Events and 20 of those were selected to perform and/or be honored at the closing ceremonies on the last day. These 20 students were selected because of their outstanding performance or presentation.

EHS Theatre’s Madelyn Brown was honored for her Technical Theatre presentation on Marketing for our fall production of The Marvelous Wonderettes. CONGRATULATIONS to Madelyn Brown for this special recognition.

The six students receiving a Superior rating on their IEs have now qualified for the International Thespian Festival held this summer at Indiana University.
