Class of 2022 Graduation

The Class of 2022 will be honored on Saturday, May 28th at 10am in a ceremony in Tiger Stadium. Family members of graduates will be seated on the field and the public is welcome to attend in the grandstands on either side of the field as we say goodbye and congratulations to this wonderful class or graduates.

The event will also be streamed online by the Erie Tiger Network. To find the stream, click on the message at the bottom of the school’s website at GoErieTigers.com or simply visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ezm1TcCDk08 on any web-capable device.

Parking will be limited due to the popularity of this event so guests are asked to carpool or use one of the parking lots/shuttle services provided. Erie PD is allowing guests to park safely off of the roads near the school as well as in the parking lot for Soaring Heights.

Tiger Stadium opens at 8 am. All guests should be seated prior to 9:50 am.

Parking & shuttle service to EHS graduation. Guests may park in the parking lots at Erie High and Soaring Heights K8 (just north of the EHS campus). Keep in mind that CR5 is closed between the north and south entrances of Soaring Heights. Parking on the EHS campus is only allowed in designated parking spaces. Parking of buses, campers, commercial trucks, or RVs is prohibited on campus.

Handicap parking spots are located around the school. Visitors may also use the drop-off lane for dropping off guests, seniors, or handicapped visitors. Rotary Club of Erie provides courtesy golf cart shuttles to the stadium for visitors needing assistance. There is no parking in the drop-off lane.

NEW THIS YEAR: A shuttle service will also be available for guests who wish to park in and around the lot at Highlands Elementary School (475 Highlands Circle Erie, CO 80516) and travel by bus to EHS.

The complimentary shuttle service with three buses available from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (in 5-10 minute intervals) will provide transportation from Highlands Elementary School to the EHS bus loop (west side of campus) before the commencement ceremony, and from the stadium back to the parking area after the ceremony. Rotary Club of Erie provides courtesy golf cart shuttles to the stadium for visitors needing assistance.

Please park in the Highlands Elementary School parent parking lot on the east side of the building. The buses will pick up and drop off from Highlands Elementary in the vehicle pick-up loop next to this east-side parking lot.

Bleacher seating. The graduation stage will be on the south end of the field, facing north towards the scoreboard. Both Home and Away bleachers will be open during the ceremony, no wristbands are required.  There are plenty of bleacher seats available for those guests who do not have field tickets.  All seats are first-come, first-served.

Please avoid bringing these items to graduation. Guests cannot bring their own chairs. The only seats available on the field are those provided by the school. The following items are not allowed during the graduation ceremony: air horns, beach balls, whistles, noisemakers, cowbells, umbrellas, coolers, or anything that obstructs other guests’ view or ability to hear the ceremony. Please respect the dignity of the event and allow all families the opportunity to view the ceremony and hear their graduates’ names announced. Do bring: a water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses and wear a hat.

Inclement weather. St. Vrain and EHS administration monitor the weather closely leading up to graduation. If the weather does not permit graduation to be held outdoors, graduation will be held inside the school in the main gym. Seating in the main gym is limited; two guests per graduate (wear the two orange wristbands). All other guests may watch the graduation ceremony on the Erie Tiger Network’s live stream. EHS will keep families updated through email, text, ShoutPoint, and social media if the weather looks questionable.

Photographs. There will be a professional photographer at graduation who will take pictures of graduates off-stage with their diploma covers, in front of an Erie Tiger backdrop. The link to purchase these photos will be shared with families in early June.

Graduation programs. Each senior received two full formal graduation programs with the list of graduate names in their graduation packet. There will be a basic program at graduation with a QR code to scan to view the list of graduate names.

We look forward to saying a formal “Goodbye and good luck,” to the graduating class of 2022! We hope you join us in person or virtually for the ceremony.
