Thank you to all Erie students, teachers, staff, and families for your support in the successful start of the 2022-2023 school year. It was a great week at Erie High School, and I really enjoyed the positive energy and excitement associated with the arrival of our students.
As I shared with our juniors and seniors in their respective class meetings on Friday, I am grateful for the warm welcome I have received throughout our community in the past four weeks. This is an incredible school community, and I am honored to serve as your principal.
On Thursday, August 25th, we are hosting Back to School Night from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm. This is an important opportunity for our parents/guardians to learn more about your child(ren)’s experience in the 2022-2023 school year. I will kick off the evening with a brief presentation in the Auditorium at 5:30 pm, and then parents/guardians will have the opportunity to follow their child(ren)’s schedule for brief sessions in all eight blocks. Due to space constraints, we do ask that only parents/guardians attend this event.
Our fall sports programs are getting into full swing. It has been great to see our student-athletes begin formal practices for the fall season over the past few weeks, and I very much look forward to attending more games/competitions in the upcoming months. We encourage our students, staff, and families to support Erie High School student-athletes by attending competitions. A great resource for tracking the schedules for all EHS athletic programs is our Athletic Calendar. Thank you in advance for your support of our hard-working student-athletes and coaches.
I hope that you and your family have a great weekend. Thank you for all that you do to make Erie High School such a special school community. Today, and every day, it is a great day to be an Erie Tiger!
Sincerely,
Josh Griffin
Erie High School Principal
