Erie High School
November 25, 2022
Dear Erie High School Families,
I hope that you all have enjoyed a restful, relaxing Thanksgiving holiday and break. I look forward to welcoming back our students on Monday, November 28th. The last four weeks of the semester are an important time for our students to put forth their best effort and finish strong! Our students have a multitude of academic, musical, artistic, athletic, and co-curricular opportunities to shine in the month of December. I wish all of our students, teachers, staff, and families a highly successful conclusion to the semester.
Final Exams – December 2022
I encourage all students and families to ensure that they are familiar with the final exam schedule as we made slight modifications to past practices in this year’s schedule. Students should utilize the available school days in the remainder of the semester to ensure mastery of important content and skills prior to the final exam window.
Course Registration for 2023-2024
Additionally, this week, we will begin the course planning and selection process with our students for the 2023-2024 school year. In preparation for registration in January, students began the registration process on November 9th in Advisory by completing credit checks, the first step in the registration process. On November 30th, students will begin to explore the multiple pathways available to them at Erie High School and through Front Range Community College (FRCC), the Career Elevation and Technology Center (CETC), and the Innovation Center (IC). Courses in these pathways support a rich and comprehensive high school experience that set students up for success in their post-secondary goals. We encourage you to explore these pathways with your students ahead of registration in January, and discuss how engaging in some of these electives will support your student’s post-secondary goals.
While you can find all of this information on Erie High School’s course description website, this infographic details each pathway with links to the specific courses within it. If you have any questions about these pathways, we encourage you to attend Erie High School’s Registration Information Night on January 10, 2023 from 5:30 – 7 p.m. We will have representatives from Front Range Community College, the CETC, and the IC to answer any questions you may have. We will also have EHS representatives to discuss AP Capstone, ETN, Seal of Biliteracy, and the Academy of Engineering & Aerospace.
I look forward to seeing our Erie Tigers return to school on Monday, November 28th, and I am excited for another great week at Erie High School. Thank you for your continued support!
Sincerely,
Josh Griffin
Erie High School Principal
