Teacher Appreciation Week

Dear Erie High School families,

It has been another great week at Erie High School.  Students are working hard to finish the school year on a positive note, teachers are focused on supporting our students with successful completion of their coursework, and our spring athletic competitions and musical performances are going very well.  Among the many highlights of this week, the Erie High School band performed their last concert of the school year, which also commemorated Mr. Carmichael’s final concert as the Erie High School band director.  I am grateful to Mr. Carmichael for his years of dedicated service to Erie HS students and families and wish him the best with his upcoming retirement.

Last Saturday, I had the privilege of attending the St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation Tribute to Teachers event.  During this event, three Erie High School teachers – Mr. Borealis, Mrs. Fox, and Mrs. Goodrich – were recognized for their excellence as educators, and Mrs. Goodrich was honored as the Erie High School teacher of the year.  Mrs. Goodrich is a special education teacher that leads our EHS SSN program, and through that, the Tigers Together peer mentoring program. As she also wraps up her final year as a member of the Erie High School faculty, I thank her for her years of service and her heartfelt commitment to the success and well-being of all of her students during her career at EHS!

Next week, we look forward to celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week.  This is an important opportunity for us to share our appreciation for our faculty members for their service to our community!  We have a number of celebrations planned to honor our outstanding Erie High School faculty this week – please join me in recognizing and thanking our teachers for their hard work and dedication to student success this week.

Thank you for your continued support of your child(ren) and Erie High School.  I hope that you and your family enjoy a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Josh Griffin
Erie High School Principal
