Dear Erie High School families,
It was great to see our students return to kick off the 2023-2024 school year this week! I hope that your child(ren) had a great week both in and out of the classroom. With the start of each new year, we are fortunate to have the opportunity for a fresh start, and a chance for our students to renew their pursuit of excellence at Erie High School.
I know that this school year will offer our students countless opportunities to thrive as people, students, artists, athletes, and citizens within our school community. I am grateful for the partnership with our parents and families as we work together to empower each of our students to achieve success throughout the course of this year. It is my privilege to watch and enjoy all of the excellent accomplishments of our students.
As a school, we remain focused on encouraging on-time, consistent attendance, and in developing and sustaining engaging learning environments for all students. Our students deserve high quality, engaging, and a distraction-free learning environment, and to start this new year, our faculty and staff have renewed their efforts to ensure that all students thrive in our school. Our teachers, counselors, staff, and administrators are ready and prepared to teach, support, and mentor our students this year!
On Thursday, August 24th, we will host our annual Back to School Night. This is a great opportunity for parents/guardians to learn more about your child’s experience at Erie High School. We will begin the event at 5:45 pm in the Auditorium, and parents/guardians will be dismissed to follow a modified version of their child’s schedule at 5:55 pm. The modified bell schedule for the evening will conclude at 8:00 pm.
Thank you for your continued and ongoing support of your child(ren) and our school. This is an outstanding, supportive community – I’m looking forward to a great year ahead!
Sincerely,
Josh Griffin
Erie High School Principal
