Erie High School
Community Update – 11.18.2022
Dear Erie High School Families,

I hope that you and your family have a very Happy Thanksgiving and an outstanding Thanksgiving Break.  I am thankful to our community members for the warm welcome and continued support that I have received in my first five months as principal of Erie High School.  We are all fortunate to be part of this outstanding school and strong community.  I hope that the upcoming Thanksgiving Break is a great time for our students, teachers, staff, and families to enjoy some rest and relaxation as well as quality time with family, friends, and loved ones.

While school wraps up today for the Thanksgiving Break, I want to wish the Erie High School football team the best in their upcoming state playoff quarterfinal game on Saturday at 1:00 pm.  We look forward to the opportunity to compete against Ponderosa High School at EchoPark Stadium – I’m hopeful that we will see a great turnout of our Erie community to cheer on the Tigers!  You can buy your tickets here.

Good luck to the Erie High School Cheer Team, who has an important competition as well on Saturday morning at Chaparral High School.  I wish them the best in their competition, and look forward to the upcoming state competitions for both the Cheer and Dance teams in December!

Once we return from Thanksgiving Break, we will have a busy and exciting final four weeks of the semester both in and out of the classroom. I hope that our students are recharged and ready for a strong conclusion to the semester when they return on November 28th.

Thank you all for your continued support of your child(ren) and our school.  I am looking forward to an outstanding conclusion to our semester.

Sincerely,
Josh Griffin
Erie HIgh School Principal
