EHS Design Team Wins Trip to Nationals

Erie High School's Engineering Design team just learned that they won the Governor's Real World Design Challenge!  They designed unmanned aerial drones which assess plant health in urban areas! EHS Teacher & Coach Kelsey Rasmussen is pictured. The team will present their design competitively in Washington DC in April! Great work, young engineers, we are so proud of you TIGERS!

Erie High students see robotic surgery demo

A doctor and nurse from Avista Adventist Hospital recently signed up to bring a travelling surgical robot to Erie High School, giving students a look at the latest surgical technology.
 
The da Vinci Xi surgical robot, one of four travelling robots in the country used for demonstrations, is the same model that's used for surgeries at Avista.
 
At Erie High, groups of students in engineering and anatomy and physiology classes learned more about the machine and how it's used.
