Planning Ahead to Fall 2021

At EHS we are busy making plans for the beginning of the 2021-22 school year and wanted to keep you up to date with the information as it stands at this time.

Summer Office Hours:
Our front office will have limited availability over the summer:

  • June 1 – 11th: 7:45am – 3:00pm
  • June 15 – 30th: 8:00am – 2:00pm
  • July: Closed
  • Beginning August 2nd: 7:30am – 2:30pm

Student Schedules:

Student schedules will be released on Friday, July 30th, 2021. At that time you should check your schedule carefully for any mistakes which may have occurred (like being scheduled for Spanish IV even though you’ve never taken Spanish before). Counselors will have a form available for schedule corrections. Please note that schedule changes may not be made because a student would prefer to be in a class with a friend or with a different teacher. Schedule changes to assure students graduate on time will have the highest priority.

Transporation:

Students will use the same bus pass they used last year, even if they were at a middle school. If you lost your bus pass or if you have any questions about your bus you may contact the Transportation Office at (303) 702-3530. You may find your bus information on Infinite Campus by clicking the More menu item at the bottom left of the page and selecting Transportation.

Picture Day(s):

Because we continue to grow we will have two initial picture days before school starts. Picture Day allows you to have your photo made for the yearbook as well as your student ID which we will print for you. You are expected to have your ID with you at all times at school for safety and security reasons. Freshmen of the Class of 2025 will have Picture Day on Wednesday, August 11th, and should arrive according to a schedule based on the first letter of the student’s last name. This schedule will be sent out in early August. Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors will have Picture Day on Thursday, August 12th.

First Day(s) of School:

As is the tradition, Freshmen will come to school one day early so that they can learn where to find everything in our school and get to know their mentor LinkLeader. 9th graders will report to school on Tuesday, August 17th. They should come with a water bottle, comfortable clothing, and a great attitude. Everything else will be taken care of for them that day. Regular classes begin on Wednesday, August 18th and all of our students will be here. The plan for all high school students is for a full five days of attendance. Any additional information that comes into play due to COVID precautions will be sent out to families in August.

Stay in the Know:

We try to share as much information with the community as possible. You can always find the current weekly update on the school’s website (GoErieTigers.com) under the News Tab>>Newsletters. You can also find archival copies of the newsletter if you need to find something from an old update. Check your contact preferences in Infinite Campus. On the bottom left click on the More link and select Personal

Information Review. Here, you can not only update your contact information but you can tell us which numbers or emails to send and to whom. You can indicate if you permit for your child to be recognized for being on the Honor Roll and if you want their information released to military recruiters. Remember to follow the action in your social media feed on Twitter @ErieHighSchool, on Instagram @GoErieTigers, and Facebook @GoErieTigers. Though we add every parent to our weekly newsletter, you may subscribe to it manually by clicking here.

We hope you have a relaxing and safe summer and that you can stay healthy and have fun. We will send out more communications as necessary throughout June and July but will begin regular weekly communications again in August. Have a great summer break!
