Coral Reefs by Ceramics Classes

Students in Intermediate Ceramics classes studied coral reefs recently in preparation for their displays which have been positioned around the school for finals week.

Students first researched coral reefs and learned about the perilous condition that many reefs are in due to increasing sea temperatures and human effects. They then planned their displays with other students in class and went about creating their individual pieces which were hung on displays for their peers and our staff to enjoy. Each display featured a QR code so that viewers could learn about the real-life coral that are featured in the art.

The students did an excellent job with these creations! Thank you, students and ceramics teachers Mx. Orellana and Mr. Coles!
