PSAT / SAT Update

Dear Erie High School families,

It has been a busy and exciting few weeks since the return from Spring Break. I am grateful to our students, teachers, and staff for their hard work, and to our families for their ongoing support as we quickly progress towards the conclusion of this school year.

Next week, we will be administering our annual SAT 11, PSAT 10, and PSAT 9 tests for students. Juniors will complete the SAT on Wednesday, April 12th, and freshmen and sophomores will complete the PSAT on Thursday, April 13th. Students who are not testing on those days will have asynchronous days of learning.

The SAT and PSAT tests are important to our students and school for multiple reasons. These tests serve as an important component of the college application and admissions process. Additionally, the PSAT and SAT tests are significant components of the state of Colorado’s school assessment program and accountability system. I encourage all Erie High School students to put their very best foot forward on these tests, and I maintain great confidence in our students’ abilities to succeed on these assessments on April 12th & 13th. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge and skills that they have developed in the classroom over the course of this school year.

Thank you to Erie High School Assistant Principal Mrs. Peebles for her hard work and leadership in preparing for this significant testing administration. Additionally, I am grateful to our counselors and support staff for their commitment to ensuring the success of this testing implementation. If you have questions about the test administration, please contact our main office at 303-828-4213 or Mrs. Peebles directly at [email protected]. In order to review details that were distributed to families via email last week, please refer to this SAT/PSAT Parent Communication from March 31st.

I hope that you and your families enjoy a great, restful weekend. I look forward to welcoming our students back for another great week on Monday, April 10th.

Sincerely,

Josh Griffin
Erie High School Principal
